Senate President, Dr Ahmed Lawan has since venturing into the top ranks of Nigeria’s political players in recent years, almost never looked back. As a founding leader within the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, the Yobe-originating master-lawmaker is indeed a steady bulwark for the cohesion, peace, stability and cooperation that flows from the legislature to the executive at this time.
As Senate President at such a critical time as this, he continues to assist in ensuring that the polity is not over-heated in regards to executive-legislature relations and that the nation is able to maintain a somewhat even keel that would help it continue to grow and thrive even beyond this season.
A former lecturer, Lawan is one senator with very wide and diverse experience in the national Assembly today, having been serving in the Senate since 1999.
